This is Bleu Cow 5’s and The Bovine Metropolis Theater’s first annual campaign to find the best and brightest undiscovered late-night comedy variety acts in Colorado.

The winning act gets $250. The second place act gets $75.  The third place act gets $25.  Mystery prizes will be awarded to fourth through sixth place finalists.

The Big Bleu Cow 5 Comedy Variety Contest ‘08 will be held on Saturday nights beginning October 4, with a winner being crowned on January 12, 2009.  Fifty acts will compete. Three will win big cash prizes. Three other finalists will win mystery prizes.

UPDATE: Six of Denver’s Best New Talent performed on September 10th at the first round of the High Country Comedy Invitational Competition. Three were selected to compete in the finals on November 6th at the Park Ave Pub (Rob Gleeson Jordan  Zuckerman and Dick Black). The winner of the competition will perform a guestspot during the headlining showcase of Wrist Deep Productions at the Breckenridge Comedy Festival.

The 2nd Annual Boulder County Comedy Contest Starting Thursday, Jaunary 8th, 2009 at Nissis Supper Club in Lafayette, Coloardo

Last year’s contest was a blast! Comics from all over partcipated and our grand prize winner last year was Ryan Lowery! He won cash and the chance to open for Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald!

Cash and prizes awarded every month to the top three winners!

Sadly, the Denver Comedy Community has lost its dearly loved Larry Killingsworth.  For those of you who knew Larry either as a mentor, a teacher, a friend, a fan, or a colleague, please join together this Thursday, June 26th at 9:00pm at the Cigar Bar, 8529 W. Colfax in Lakewood, as many will be paying tribute to and celebrating Larry’s life.  So far, we have no information concerning funeral services.

Wits End Comedy Club announces The Finals for “Survival of the Wittiest” 2008 will be on Tuesday June 24th. Finalists are Chris Tidd, Jordan Zuckerman, Kevin Ladd, Niraj Naik, Thomas Pickett, and Woody Vincent.

Bleu Cow 5 III starts back up midnight, June 7th at the Bovine Metropolis Theater!  BC5III is Denver’s dirtiest late night adult oriented comedy variety show.  

From Jake Sharon, nationally touring stand-up comedian, improviser, and KBPI’s “Jesus of Denver,” comes Bleu Cow 5 III, the return of Bleu Cow 5 II!

Team Lee won the 2008 Comedy Works Funny Final Four with a score of 74.3.  They’ll return on March 31 for their victory show.

This is the club’s annual campaign to find the best and brightest undiscovered comedians in Colorado.

New Faces Campaign ’08 will be held on Monday nights throughout the summer, with a winner being crowned on September 22.

The Grand Prize Winner will receive $500.00 in cash, and a trip for two to anywhere Frontier Airlines flies in the continental United States. Second place will receive $300.00, and third place will receive $200.00.
